Removing an employee key card from a hotel door lock system generally involves using the software or control panel associated with that system. This can vary significantly depending on the brand and model of the system. However, the general process usually involves the following steps:
- Access the Hotel Door Lock System’s Software: Use an administrative account to log into the hotel door lock management software. This could be a standalone program, or it might be part of a larger hotel management system.
- Navigate to the Key Card Management Section: There should be an option to manage key cards, users, or similar terminology.
- Search for the Employee or Key Card: You should be able to search for key cards by the employee’s name, the key card number, or other identifiers.
- Remove or Deactivate the Key Card: Once you’ve found the key card you want to remove, there should be an option to deactivate or delete it. Follow the prompts to do so.
- Create a New Key Card: After the old key card has been removed or deactivated, you should be able to create a new one. Again, the exact process will depend on your specific key card system.
Always ensure you are deleting or deactivating the correct key card. If unsure, double-check the key card number or employee information before changing.
Please consult your system’s user manual or contact the manufacturer’s customer service if you have any difficulties or if your system doesn’t appear to have these options.
