Vingcard 2800 system will not boot up and get stuck on “Loading OS.”
I was wondering if I could have some assistance with the Vingcard 2800 system my father owns.
We own a Marriot in Florida, and the Vingcard 2800 system will not boot up for some reason. The best way to describe it, the system will turn on and get stuck on “Loading OS.”
I’ve tried changing the batteries, and I have tried many things online, saying to keep restarting it and enter quick booting mode, but nothing seems to work.
Could you email me with a solution to this? I need our system to work as soon as possible; thank you.

It sounds like you’re having a serious issue with the Vingcard 2800 system, and I understand the urgency in a hospitality environment like a Marriott hotel. If the system is stuck at “Loading OS,” a software or hardware issue seems to be preventing the system from booting up fully.
Here are a few steps to troubleshoot, but given the complexity of these systems and the urgent need for security in a hotel environment, I’d highly recommend contacting Vingcard’s technical support for the most appropriate assistance.
Before troubleshooting the VingCard 2800 Front Desk System, please check the following:
- Is the VingCard 2800 Front Desk System connected to a power source?
- Are all cables connected correctly?
- Is your operating system up-to-date?
- Have you installed any required software updates in recent weeks?
If you’re having trouble with your VingCard 2800 Front Desk System, please try the following steps:
- Reset the System: The first step to troubleshooting any electronic device is to reset it: unplug it from power and leave it unplugged for a few minutes before plugging it back in. This resets all of the circuits in the system, which can help clear up issues like an interrupted signal or corrupted memory.
- Check the System’s Power Supply: If the system is not getting enough power, it might not be able to boot fully. Ensure the power supply works properly and the system receives adequate power.
- Inspect for Physical Damage: Check the system for any visible signs of damage, like loose or broken parts, which might be causing the issue
If these steps do not resolve the problem, I recommend contacting Vingcard’s technical support team. They can guide you through specific troubleshooting steps or arrange a service call if necessary. Here are the contact details:

As this system is critical for the operation of your hotel, it’s important to get it up and running as soon as possible. And I have to say Since the 2800 system has been discontinued, your support will be very limited.
I sincerely recommend you buy another used Vingcard 2800 system to use or completely update your current hotel lock system.
