If the Saflok hotel door lock system in your hotel shows a yellow light blinking eight times on all the doors when using staff keys, it indicates two possible causes:
- Stuff Key Expiration: If the key cards have expired, they won’t be able to open the doors. You should reprogram new key cards for your staff using the Saflok system’s key card programmer and software.
- Electronic Lock-Out Mode: If the lock is in Electronic Lock-Out (ELO) mode, it won’t accept any keys except an ELO key. Use an ELO key to remove the lock-out mode, allowing normal keys to be used again.
For both situations, you’ll need access to the Saflok system’s administrative tools, such as the key card programmer and the system software. If you’re unsure how to perform these actions, or if the problem persists, contact Saflok customer support for further assistance.
Remember, it’s essential to handle these issues swiftly and correctly to ensure the security of your hotel and the convenience of your staff and guests.
