Hornbill lock locked after 4 or 5 failed attempts; what to do?
I bought a hornbill lock that is very well. But, the lock is locking after 4 or 5 failed attempts; that is unacceptable.
We have a kindergarten, and sometimes, children play with the lock. No way to unlock it except with the app. I think it should be a way to turn off this feature. Thanks

The feature you’re referring to is called the “security lockout mode,” designed to prevent unauthorized access after a certain number of failed attempts. This is a standard feature in many smart locks, including the Hornbill model, to increase security.
But please don’t worry if your Hornbill lock enters lockout mode; you can wait for 5 minutes and then enter the correct code again and open the door.
And you can not turn off the security lockout mode for security reasons.
However, I understand your situation. In some settings, such as a kindergarten, it can indeed cause inconvenience. As I know, many smart locks don’t offer this flexibility for security reasons.
