Step 1: Purchase a fingerprint door lock kit.

Many fingerprint locks are available, from simple locks to locks with built-in alarm systems. Choose the parts that suit your needs and check all the parts in the kit to ensure no missing parts.

Step 2: Remove the old fingerprint door lock

Before deleting the old lock, check the new fingerprint home lock and ensure you have everything you need for the fingerprint door lock project. You need to remove the two screws on the lock body and the two screws on the latch to remove it.

Step 3: Drill holes in the door

Drill a hole about 2 inches deep on the side of the door to secure the latch. Blow on this hole to remove all small wood chips, then drill another hole of the same size in the door frame to lock the bolt.

Step 4: Adjust and install the bolt and latch

Ensure that the locking tongue fits the mechanism, insert a screwdriver into the hole on the driver board, and rotate it until it is fully secured.

When the door is locked, the bolt can be extended to form a tight seal, and when unlocked, the bolt can be retracted to make it easy to open.

The bolt and latch must be installed on the edge of the door. Hammer the metal plate into the hole in the door frame to install the latch. Insert the screw into the bolt hole and tighten it toward the door.

Step 4: Install the lock.

Install the fingerprint verification screen on the outside of the door and fix it while fixing the rear panel to the inside. Use screws to pull the two parts together tightly.

Some kits include rain covers, such as rain covers and gaskets. You can install it on the LCD screen and lock it to protect it from bad weather, especially since it will be placed outdoors.

Before installing the mounting plate, pass the data cable through the mounting plate. Then, it can be fixed in the slot cut out on the mounting plate.

Step 5: Final inspection

Once the biometric fingerprint lock is installed, check to ensure the door forms a tight seal when closed. If not, repair it. Read the instructions again and visually check to ensure everything fits before inserting the battery.

Step 6: Register fingerprints

The required type installs the battery on the biometric fingerprint lock and follows the model’s instructions, the model’s fingerprint as the administrator or master fingerprint.

Most fingerprint door locks can store multiple fingerprints simultaneously, so please add more administrators, such as family members or occupants of the house or office where it is installed.
