Integrating TTLock with a gateway and IFTTT requires a few steps. Before you start, ensure you have a compatible gateway device to communicate with your TTLock and an IFTTT account.
Here is a step-by-step guide:
Integrating TTLock with Gateway
- Power on the Gateway Device: Plug the gateway device into a power supply. Ensure the device is within the Bluetooth range of your lock (typically, this is within 10-15 meters).
- Connect Gateway to the Network: Connect the Gateway to your home Wi-Fi network. Typically, you do this through the TTLock App. Go to ‘Gateway’ > ‘Add Gateway’ > input your Wi-Fi information in the app. The Gateway should connect to your Wi-Fi network.
- Add Lock to Gateway: In the TTLock App, go to the lock you want to control via the Gateway. Select ‘Lock Information’ > ‘Gateway List’ > ‘Add Gateway.’ Choose the appropriate Gateway from the list.
Integrating TTLock with IFTTT
After integrating the TTLock with your Gateway, you can use IFTTT (If This Then That) to create automated actions.
- Create IFTTT Account: If you don’t already have an IFTTT account, go to ifttt.com and create one.
- Link TTLock to IFTTT: Search for TTLock in IFTTT and connect it to your account. You’ll need to input your TTLock account information to do this.
- Create Applets: Once you’ve connected TTLock to IFTTT, you can create “applets” or rules to automate actions. For instance, you could create a rule: “If my smart home security system is armed, then lock my TTLock.”
Note that, as of my knowledge, TTLock was not officially integrated with IFTTT. However, there may have been updates or new features released since then. If you’re having trouble connecting TTLock and IFTTT, you may want to contact TTLock’s customer support for assistance.
